I worked with Portland’s world wide ad agency, Wieden and Kennedy on a promotional auction for Kentucky Fried Chicken. Streamed live on Twitter. it was a lot of fun! I looked good in the white cowboy hat, too.

Hanging out with Calvin and fellow Spokane boy, Neil Everett; he was my MC at Saint Thomas More's annual fundraising gala. His day-job is co-anchor on ESPN's Sports Center.

Welcome to SR Dorsey Auctioneering. Ask us a question. Do you wonder if an auctioneer talks fast all the time? Are you thinking about building a benefit auction from scratch? Do you want help raising more money for your group? How about replacing your silent auction with something that raises more money and takes less time?

If you answered yes to any or all of the above questions, you've landed on the right page. Let me help you, help your not-for-profit group. Please have a look through my videos, photos, and blog. I'm very open to your feedback, so don't be shy to click on the 'like' button or to write in the 'comment' box. Also don't hesitate to call or email to ask a question or just to bounce an idea off me.

STEVE

Approaching thirty years as a professional auctioneer, Steve Dorsey of srdorsey auctioneering continues to build his expertise and love of the auction. He got his start in 1988 with Pacific Northwest-based Silver Auctions in the collector car auction business. The business of cars and adrenaline came by naturally; as Steve was an avid motorist and racer of go-karts, starting at a young age. He moved onto riding motocross and motorbikes, gradually to restoring and driving vintage cars. Steve also qualified for his SCCA license at Portland International Raceway.

In addition to being an auctioneer of wholesale and collector cars and motorcycles; Steve is also a licensed real estate broker, working with two of the largest real estate auctioneering firms in the business - Auction.com and the Kennedy-Wilson Group. He and his srdorsey auctioneering crew are the premier auctioneering team on Portland's fundraising circuit. From private grade schools to the University of Oregon Ducks, they have helped to raise tens of millions of dollars throughout the state of Oregon.

Steve has been fortunate in his career to have been invited to auctioneer at Monterey Car Week, as well as the prestigious Manheim Highline Auction; where he regularly auctioneers alongside some of his best colleagues. His work takes him throughout the Pacific Northwest, California, and Las Vegas; as far as New York and even Canada.

CALVIN

Calvin is the lead ringman at srdorsey auctioneering, so you will often find him working alongside Steve at fundraising benefits and the occasional car auction. He also works closely with your auction staff and volunteers the evening of your event, making sure everything is running smoothly while Steve is on stage. When Calvin isn't working weekend auction events, he enjoys spending time with his family as well as restoring vintage snowcats.

SPENCER

Spencer started working with his dad when he was thirteen years old. He works mainly as ringman and gets on the microphone occasionally to move bidding for the silent auction part of the evening. They make a great father-son team. Spencer also helps Calvin out during the live auction, making sure everyone in the audience is having a great time and every bid is called. Spencer is graduate of PSU and is a newly minted CPA.

Twice a week I’m selling at the dealer auctions. It’s a fast paced way to buy a car.
