An Experienced AuctioneerI have over 15 years of auctioneering experience, and call over 200 auctions a year. That total includes auctions for wholesale cars, collector cars and fundraisers. My career has allowed me to travel across the western United States, working in Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, Montana, Wyoming and Utah. Throughout the years of exploring all these different cities and performing auctions, I have learned how to work with a wide variety of audiences. Whether people are buying expensive vintage cars or supporting their local schools, I pride myself in the ability to get everyone excited and enthusiastic while enjoying the auction process. The bottom line is auctions are a place to have fun! My goal is to have everyone who is in attendance at one of my auctions, having a good time and participating in the bidding excitement.

Well, not too bad. While some of the overall grosses of the auctions have been down the special appeals, or paddle raisers have been stronger than last year. Patrons are still supporting their favorite non-profits but seem to be ready to donate specific amounts, as opposed to spending wildly on auction items. 2008-11-23Auction item formsSpecially designed auction sheets are now available for your next fundraiser, these are great three-part NCR forms and are half-sheet sized for easy clerking.2008-11-23Bid cardsWe have bidder cards available for your auction. This is how real estate is going to be sold in the future, watch for more exciting news about these types of auctions.2008-03-21Invest in the best. The other night while finishing up a fundraising event a patron came up to me and told me she had never seen so much money raised in such a short amount of time. And she was right. An auction is one of most effective way to raise money for any kind of group. Whether it is a large auction or small, hiring someone who is familiar with the processes involved in making a fundraiser both profitable and fun is essential
Which mean it literally pays to hire a professional fundraiser for your event. Depending on what your groups needs are I can create a fee structure which will work to make your event sucessful. I typically charge a flat fee, but if you are interested we can do a percentage of the gross of the oral auction. Send me an email today, so we make your non-profit event PROFITABLE.2008-03-05Chris Sheik auctioneerChris Sheik has over 20 years of fundraising experience, it great to have him at srdorsey auctioneers. Heading into the final auctions of the year attendance has remained the same from last year and the financial support has remained unchanged from last year. I look forward to working with all of you again in 2009.2008-02-25John PersonJohn will be back with me also in 2009, he is an unbelievable talent. You really won't find a better auctioneer, and along with his son Johnath makes a dynamic auctioneering team. If you hire John you have to hire Johnath too. Not only was he a great presence on stage, but he provided help beforehand helping us to conceive our live auction lineup. Highly recommended."

Campfire USA Portland Metro 2007-12-02Customer CommentsOur organization for several years did everything in house so we could save a few dollars. Last year we made a big change and hired Steve to be our auctioneer. The result was more people, more money and more fun. After the auction, one of our first steps was to hire Steve for our 2008 auction.
